Outdoor Kids’ Weekend at Woodlands Nature Station

The Woodlands Nature Station, inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, welcomes children of all ages to Outdoor Kids’ Weekend over Labor Day Weekend.

Land Between the Lakes, KY- The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invite the public to bring the family to Woodlands Nature Station during Labor Day Weekend 2023 for Outdoor Kids’ Weekend, a kid-friendly foray into essential outdoor and camping skills. Guests will learn new ways to enjoy the outdoors, like creating your own animal track guide, practicing your knot-tying skills, or learning about venomous animals.

Love paddling? Join us for a guided canoe trip on Saturday, September 2, or Sunday, September 3, from 5:00 – 7:30 PM. We will explore the nooks and crannies of Energy Lake looking for wildlife like eagles and beavers on this family-friendly adventure. Registration is limited. Outdoor Kids’ Weekend will take place at the Woodlands Nature Station inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, Kentucky, 42211. Hours will be extended on Saturday, September 2 and Sunday, September 3 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will return to normal opening hours on Monday, September 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $7 for ages 18 and up, $5 for ages 5 – 17 and free for ages 4 and under.
