He was of the Methodist faith and a retired employee of Sigri Carbon Company in Hickman, KY.
Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, Joyce Welch; three daughters, Melissa (Jessie) Brasure of Bells, TN, Angel (Michael) Foy of Lynnville, KY and Amanda (Chris) Morris of Lynnville, KY; three sisters, Katie Chapman of Colorado, Patti (Terry) Patey of Hickman, KY and Tina (Carsten) Kradenpoth of Fulton, KY; one grandchild, Ethan Foy; and two great grandchildren, Speed Foy and Adaline Foy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Patricia Sutton Welch.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
