Work zone in place from 8 a.m., to about Noon
PADUCAH, Ky. (August 17, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction along the northbound lanes of Interstate 69 in Marshall County on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
This work zone to allow mechanical brush cutting along the right-of-way runs from about the 50 mile marker extending northward onto the flyover ramp that carries traffic to KY 1523 into Calvert City and the I-24 westbound ramp. This work zone starts just north of the KY 2595/Lakeview Rd Overpass.
This work zone is expected to go up at 8 a.m., CDT, and remain up until around Noon, Tuesday.
Motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 50 mile marker. All northbound traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
Work will extend along a portion of the flyover ramp with one lane remaining open.
Some minor delays are possible during the movement and positioning of equipment to facilitate the work.
There should be no impact to southbound I-69 traffic.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
