Lady Marshals earn 7-0 shutout over Graves County

Tuesday in Mayfield, the Lady Marshals picked up their second district win of the early season with a 7-0 shutout over Graves County.

Presley Gallimore scored the first goal of the game just under eight minutes in and with 10 minutes remaining, scored the final goal of the night to add to her team-leading six goals over the first four games.

After a nice header by Anna Robertson off a corner kick was saved by the Graves County keeper, Amelia Boone found the net to put the Lady Marshals up 2-0.

Two more goals by senior Karsyn Serpico and junior Macy Scott gave the Lady Marshals a 4-0 lead at halftime. They dominated the first half with 16 shots – 13 of those on goal, compared to just two shots by the Lady Eagles.

Less than 30 seconds into the second half, senior Zoe Maxlow scored to make it a 5-0 game. Midway through the half, Mia McGregor scored her fourth goal of the season to give the Lady Marshals a 6-0 lead before Gallimore scored the final goal of the night with 10 minutes remaining.

Thursday, the Lady Marshals (2-1-1) will play their home opener against Calloway County (3-1).
