Barbara L. Holley Gibson, 87 of Benton, Kentucky died on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, Kentucky.
Born Saturday, April 4, 1936 in Marshall County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Atwood and the late Maude Crowell Atwood. She retired from the Dietary Department of the Marshall County Hospital after 25 years of service. She was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving is her husband, Roy E. Gibson, son, Lendell Holley (Karon), stepsons, Darrell Gibson (Diane), Ronnie Gibson and Jerry Gibson (Karen), grandchildren, Kara Hamby (Derek) and Aaron Holley (Courtney) and great grandchildren, Lily Hamby and Lia Hamby. Also surviving are nieces, Felicia Slack and Wanda Wood and nephew Coy Atwood.
She was preceded by her first husband, Joe Bill Holley, brothers, Norman Atwood and Jewell Atwood, sisters, Opal Nimmo and Verna Barker.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Penick officiating.
Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in the New Harmony Community.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2: 00 pm at Collier Funeral Home, Inc. located at 211 W 5th Street Benton, KY 42025
