Derrek Anthony Britt, 38, of Calvert City passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at his home.
He was born on September 19, 1984 to Bobby Teague and Christial Bagwell in Madisonville, Kentucky. Derrek was a forklift operator at Draffen’s Industrial and a member of Pathway Baptist Church. He enjoyed anything that involved being outside, such as horseback riding, fishing, monster truck rallies, dirt track races, and riding his motorcycle.
Derrek is survived by his mother, Christial Bagwell; his father, Bobby (Cathy) Teague of Benton; one son, Alex Piper of Henderson; six brothers, Damon (Courtney) Britt of North Carolina, Shannon (Jennifer) Blixt of Woodbridge, VA, Dustin Blixt of Morganfield, Christian Green of Mitchellville, TN, Justin (Niki) Teague of Calvert City, and Michael (Brandi) Teague of Princeton; two sisters, Cassie (Todd) Broker of Murray and Caitlyn Bagwell of Nashville; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one niece, Annie Teague.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Pathway Baptist Church in Calvert City with Pastor Mike Donald presiding.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Pathway Baptist Church in Calvert City.
