Closure to be in place for up to 120 days
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 13, 2023) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure of KY 402/Aurora Highway in the Hardin Community of Marshall County starting Monday, July 17, 2023.
This extended closure of KY 402/Aurora Highway at the 8.71 mile point is to allow construction of a new bridge over Martin Creek. This closure is along KY 402/Aurora Highway in Hardin about halfway between the KY 905/Commerce Street intersection and the 4-Way Stop at the KY 1824/Murray Highway intersection.
Passenger vehicles may detour via KY 905/Commerce Street/2nd Street and KY 1824/Murray Highway. Trucks should seek an appropriate state route based on their load weight classification.
Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $1,499,724 group bridge project which includes construction of two bridges. The target completion date is November 17, 2023.
