Paul David Carter, 78 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Paul was born in Evansville, Indiana on May 29, 1945 to the late Victor Carter and Edna Williams Carter. For 30 years, he worked as a dock loader for Overnite. Paul proudly served our country in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patsy Standley Carter; one son, David Carter (Tabitha) of Paducah; two daughters, Pauline Carter McManus (Larry) of Paducah and Joanna Carter (Chris Riley) of Benton; nine grandchildren, Heather Spears, Jessica McManus, Christian Morris, Jacob Morris, David Paul Carter, Victor Carter, Hayden Carter, Devon Riley, Isabella Riley; and three great-grandchildren, Sean Spears, Haylee Spears and Maci Wilkey.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Jean Carter Morris; two brothers, Hayden Carter and Maxie Carter; and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Vance officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home.
