Ronald Gene Roach, 74, of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, formerly of Grand Chain, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at his home.
Ronald was born in Cairo, Illinois on December 4, 1948 to the late Thomas and Stella Copeland Roach. He was of the Catholic Faith. Ronald always enjoyed being outdoors. He could often be found fishing or working in his garden or landscaping. Mr. Roach worked with the Cairo and Mounds Police Department before retiring after 20 years of service with the Alexander County Sherriff’s Department. He will be remembered as one of the friendliest people you could talk to and loved his family with his whole heart.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Anita Burgess Patrick Roach; two daughters, Wendy Roach-Cobb of Paducah and Tammy Patrick Webster of Arlington; two sons, Joseph Thomas Roach (Cheri) of Okinawa, Japan and Casey Matthew Roach of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; a sister, Charlotte Kay Roach Farris (Chad) of Whitewater, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Alexandrea Roach, Kareema Rainey, Jamar Roach, David Patrick, Haley Turska, Brandon Webster, Jala Lawson, Paxton Roach, and Isabella Roach; thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Patrick Lawson; and his brother, Jimmy Roach.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington is in charge of arrangements.
