Ms. Carolyn Joyce Sikes, 70 of Murray, KY passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her home.
Born August 7, 1952, in Washington DC, Carolyn was the daughter of Verlin Sikes of Overland Park, KS and the late Minnie (Damron) Sikes. She enjoyed her chosen career as a school bus driver and retired from Teamsters Local 142 in Gary, IN.
She is survived by her father, Verlin Sikes of Overland Park, KS; her children, Kimberly (Darrell) Morgan of Munster, IN, Joel (Shannon) Hill of Portage, IN and Dawn Carden of Gary, IN; a sister, Deondra Nelson of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren, Justin Hill, Jacob Hill, Johnny Hubbard, Haylee Morgan, Hollee Morgan; a great-grandchild, Cody Hemminger; nephew, Ryan Nelson, Jr.; many cousins, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother; two brothers, Keith Sikes and Terry Sikes; and a grandson, Daryl Hemminger.
A service celebrating Carolyn’s life will be conducted at a later date in Indiana.
