Two subjects were arrested during a traffic stop on Murray Hwy in Marshall County. The traffic stop was conducted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
On 06/26/2023 Kayan Garrett, age 25 of Guthrie KY, driver of vehicle, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Caldwell County for failure to appear in court. Original charges were for fleeing evading police 2nd degree, resisting arrest.
Austin Bebber, age 23 of Almo KY, a passenger, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia.

On 06/23/2023 at approximately 3:53 am Teresa Jones, age 50 of Calvert City KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall district court. The warrant stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Marshall Co Sheriff’s office which revealed that Teresa Jones stole metal from a property in Marshall County. The value of the metal is over $1000.00
On 06/22/23 at approximately 9:30 pm, Zachary Oliver age 42 of Cadiz KY, was arrested during a traffic safety checkpoint for the charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree (Xanax), possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree (hallucinogen) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 06/22/2023 Derek Gentry age 38 of Benton KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued out of Marshall District Court charging him with Intimidating a participant in the legal process. The warrant stemmed from an investigation by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office which revealed that Gentry had threatened the deputy judge executive when the deputy judge executive was investigating a possible code enforcement violation.
On 06/20/23 Kathryn Mara age 57 of Glenmont NY was charged with Theft by unlawful taking when she shoplifted items from a store in Aurora.
on 06/23/2023, Jimmy Schmidt age 58 of Benton KY, was arrested and charged with operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense, operating on a suspended license, and rear license plate not illuminated.
On 06/25/2023, Richard Lowe age 36 of Benton Ky, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Henderson District Court for Failure to appear.
On 06/24/2023, Grace Bailey age 22 of Bowling Green KY was cited for possession of marijuana.
On 06/24/2023, Curtis Roderick SR age 34 of Paducah KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued by Marshall District Court stemming from an investigation completed by the Marshall County Sheriff’s office. It was discovered that Roderick had been involved in a motor vehicle collision where he caused property damage and did not report the collision to law enforcement. Roderick was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, operating on a suspended license, criminal mischief 3rd degree, endangering the welfare of a minor. Curtis Roderick was also charged with public intoxication (excluding alcohol).
On 06/24/2023 Wesley Augustino, age 41 of Calvert City KY, was charge with operating a motor vehicle with no operator’s license when he was involved in a non-injury collision with another motor vehicle.
On 06/24/2023, Chastain Love, age 30 of Lagrange GA, was charged with speeding 99mph in a 70mph zone on I24.
On 06/24/2023, Jay’Qulin Bussell, age 28 of Hopkinsville KY was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia when stopped on a traffic stop for speeding 91 in a 70mph zone
On 06/23/2023, Courtney Windsor age 26 of Mayfield KY, was arrested on a criminal complaint warrant issued by Graves district court for the charge of Bail Jumping 2nd degree.
Please be sure to take extra precautions to keep your home and vehicles locked. If you’ll remember last summer Mr. Sharp was a busy individual between Marshall and Calloway Counties. If you see him please do not approach him but call 911. Sharp is considered to be dangerous. Thank you in advance.
UPDATE: The Henry County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the U.S. Marshall’s Office, THP and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office have taken Joshua Harris back into custody this evening. Harris was found in the area of HWY 79N and Nobles Rd. after receiving a tip for a citizen. Ronnie Sharp is still at large tonight. Anyone with information is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office ask the public to be on the lookout for two escaped inmates Ronnie Sharp and Joshua Harris. It’s been found that these two inmates pried through the cell ceiling then prying open a skylight on the roof. They then left the Henry County Jail in an unknown direction. It’s believed they are responsible for stealing a 2006 white Chevy 3500 four door truck with a black dump bed from a location on HWY 69 North.
Joshua Harris was currently serving time for violation of sentence but does have a history of evading arrest, theft of property and burglary. Harris is 40 years of age, 5 foot 9, 150 pounds with a last known address of 413 Routon Street in Paris, Tn 38242.
Ronnie Sharp was currently in jail on numerous pending charges to include kidnapping, agg. assault, assault on an officer, evading arrest, theft of property and burglary. Sharp is 48 years of age, 5 foot 11, 160 pounds with a last known address of 960 Meyes Rd. Hazel, KY.
