The Marshall County Exceptional Center is pleased to announce that we raised a total of $32,892.51 at our annual Mike Miller Memorial Golf Tournament held this past Saturday, June 24th at the Benton Country Club. This feat is only achievable with the tremendous and continued community support that we are blessed to have.
The Marshall County Exceptional Center is a 501C-3 private non-profit organization that provides training and services to clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Our organization works directly with each client to form a personalized training plan to enable them to maximize their independence with consideration to their dreams, goals, desires, and abilities. We are the only agency of our kind in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that provides services without requiring private-pay or government waiver funding, rather, all clients served can attend free of charge. Over 75% of MCEC’s operational income comes from community support and fundraisers such as the Mike Miller Memorial Golf Tournament. This past year we doubled our enrollment to the highest number of clients ever served, which means that community support and donations are imperative for us to do what we do best!
We would like to thank Ratoberfest Annual Car Show & Swap Meet – 10/14/23 for serving as our first Title Sponsor. Their support set a wonderful foundation for our tournament, and we are eternally grateful for their continued support. Likewise, we thank all corporate sponsors, hole sponsors, Tyler D Par-3 sponsors, team players, Benton Golf & Country Club, Benton Walmart, and all who helped to make this tournament such a success. Each donation is appreciated and treasured.
We also thank Doug and Rita Dotson for their continued work building this tournament each year. Coordinating events takes tremendous effort, time, and diligence, which the Dotson’s are happy to do each year. Thank you for your tireless efforts.
Once again, thank you to all who made the 2023 Mike Miller Memorial Golf Tournament a success!
Sincerely,
Lindsey A. Walker, M.Ed
