Work zone in place 8 a.m., to 8 p.m., Monday
PADUCAH, Ky. (June 20, 2023) – A contractor plans a daytime work zone lane restriction along U.S. 60/Park Avenue in Paducah on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
This lane restriction for westbound traffic on U.S. 60 is in the 3300 Block of Park Avenue near McCracken County mile point 12.3. This work zone is about a mile west of Noble Park and immediately west of the Metcalf Lane intersection.
The contractor will be constructing the second of two entrances for a new business. On Wednesday, a crew will demo the existing curb and gutter to create a temporary gravel entrance to the site. The contractor will then return in a few weeks with a westbound lane restriction to construct a new concrete entrance and curb line.
Westbound motorists should be alert for one lane traffic from approximately 8 a.m., to 8 p.m., CDT, on Wednesday. Some minor delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
