
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
⦁ On Saturday, June 10th, 2023, around 12:50pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams served a Marion Circuit Court indictment warrant on Shawn M. Gribbins (36) of Lebanon charging him with Assault-3rd Degree (inmate assault on corrections employee) and Persistent Felony Offender-II. Gribbins will remain in state custody until being extradited back to Marion County.
⦁ On Monday, June 12th, 2023, around 10am, Sheriff Brent White and Deputies took five boys, ages 8-11, to the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys and Girls Ranch in Marshall County. The cost of sending Lyon County children to camp has risen significantly over the past year and the generosity of Lyon County civic organizations and citizens have allowed our children to attend camp for free this year. A similar number of girls, ages 8-11, will attend camp the following week.
⦁ On Monday, June 12th, 2023, around 10am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams investigated an illegal dumping complaint on Center Ridge Road. He subsequently charged Charity L. Hooks (25) of Eddyville with Criminal Littering. She was cited to Lyon District Court later this month. This was the third illegal dumping/littering complaint received in the same area in the last week. If anyone has information concerning illegal dumping in this area or other portions of Lyon County, please call the Sheriff’s Office at (270) 388-2311.
⦁ On Monday, June 12th, 2023, around 1:45pm, Sheriff Brent White responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Roy Harris Road off KY 810 South. Upon arrival, he located a Jeep which was abandoned and partially in the roadway. The driver of the vehicle was located at a nearby construction site and arrested on a bench warrant from Graves District Court for failure to appear. A search of the driver and his vehicle revealed suspected Methamphetamine and pills in possession of the driver. He was identified as Brett A. Gregory (63) of Waltonville, IL. Gregory was charged with the following:
⦁ Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
⦁ Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree (Alprazolam)
⦁ Failure to Appear/Contempt of Court – Graves District Bench Warrant
Gregory was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, around 10:12am, Deputy Lori Francis served a Larue District Court complaint warrant on Keith D. Stiltz (56) of Munfordville. He was charged with Violation of a KY EPO/DVO. He will remain in state custody pending extradition back to Larue County.
⦁ On Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, around 10:48am, Deputy Lori Francis served a Jefferson District Court bench warrant on Tyler L. Joshua (30) of Shepherdsville. He was charged with Fleeing/Evading Police-2nd Degree, Theft (TBUT) from a Vehicle, and Probation Violation. He will remain in state custody pending extradition back to Jefferson County.
⦁ On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, around 8:40am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Rolman Alvarez (18) of Paducah on a Graves District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a traffic case. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, around 9am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Stephen Faudree (53) of Princeton on a McCracken District Court bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor case. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Wednesday, June 14th, 2023, around 9:40am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Billy Owens (46) of Kuttawa on a Caldwell District Court bench warrant for failure to appear or pay on a traffic case. He was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
⦁ On June 13, 2023, the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky issued an arrest warrant for Taylor R. Glass (33) of Kuttawa after a Federal Grand Jury in Paducah returned an indictment charging him with Possession of Child Pornography.
An investigation which began by KY Probation and Parole and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office in October of 2022 resulted in Sheriff Brent White and Chief Deputy Sam Adams requesting the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with a continuing inquiry of Glass. Court ordered forensic examinations resulted in the discovery of over 900 child sexual abuse and/or exploitation images confirmed to be in Glass’ possession, in violation of federal law.
On June 13, 2023, around 9:30am, Glass was taken into custody, in Princeton, by members of the Western KY Violent Crimes Task Force.
The investigation was led by HSI Special Agents of the Paducah Satellite Office and Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. They were assisted by KY Probation and Parole, the 56th Circuit Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, the Western KY Violent Crimes Task Force, the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of KY-Paducah Division and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

⦁ On Thursday, June 15th, 2023, around 12pm, Deputy Lori Francis served a Wayne Circuit Court indictment warrant on Patricia Tinch (62) of Monticello charging her with Methamphetamine and other drug related offenses. Tinch will remain in state custody until being extradited back to Wayne County.
⦁ On Thursday, June 15th, 2023, around 10:30pm, Deputy Aaron O’Leary responded to a single vehicle collision on I-69 at the US 62 off-ramp. His investigation revealed a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, operated by Nichole Slabchuck (26) of Paducah was exiting off I-69 at the Northbound off-ramp, approaching US 62 when a deer entered her path of travel. Her vehicle collided with the deer, rendering it inoperable. There were no injuries reported in the collision.
