William “Gene” Eugene Parrish, 73 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Gene was born in Benton, KY on April 9, 1950 to the late Paul Parrish and Martha Butler Parrish. He was the biggest UK and Louisville Cardinals fan. Gene enjoyed trains and swinging. He was gifted with an incredible memory and could recall numerous dates and events. Gene was a member of Benton Baptist Temple.
He is survived by two brothers, Charles “Chuckie” Parrish of Benton, KY and Boyd Parrish of Clinton, KY; two nieces, five nephews, six great-nieces, five great-nephews, four great great-nieces and five great great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Reggie Parrish, Marshall Parrish and David Parrish; two sisters, Jo Ann Stone and Ella M. Parrish; two nephews, Scott Parrish and Peter Parrish; and his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens with Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating.
There will be no public visitation.
