Theda Roach Alexander, 71, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at Mercy Health Lourdes. She was born on August 3, 1951 in Paducah to the late Dennie Theodore Roach and Bobbye Sue Fiser Roach. Theda was retired from Medco Nursing Home as a Registered Nurse and CTS. She was of the Catholic faith and was a graduate of Paducah Community College. Theda enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball, traveling to Florida, pontooning on Kentucky Lake and dirt car racing. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and nephews and attending and watching their activities. Theda also liked spending time doing word puzzles and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Glenn Alexander; son, Matt (Teresa) Alexander of Calvert City, Kentucky; sister, Dana (Mike) Mitchell of Paducah, Kentucky; brother, James (Sue) Roach of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Brice Alexander, Hunter Day and Tori Day; nephews, Eric Mitchell and Cory Mitchell.
Theda was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Deacon Scott Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
