Mr. Samuel Johnson, Jr., age 93, of Farmington passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at his residence.
He was a member of Antioch Church of Christ, a retired teacher from Sedalia High School, a retired farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean War.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two sons, Steven M. (Barbara) Johnson of Lexington, KY and Timothy K. (Melissa) Johnson of Murray, KY; six grandchildren, Joshua, Joel, Reghan, Ryan, Samuel and Tyler; and ten great grandchildren, Jonah, Jackson, Jude, Myla, Caleb, Nora, Karlee, Noah, Grayson and Mia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye McNeely Johnson; one sister, JoAnn Colley; and his parents, Samuel and Emma Lou Colley Johnson, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Samuel Johnson, Jr. will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Al Colley, Jr. and Stan Colley will officiate. Interment will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Josh Johnson, Joel Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Samuel Johnson, Al Colley, Jonathan Downs and Justin Downs.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the funeral home.
