Dorothy Dupree, age 98, of Boaz, KY, passed away May 14, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Springfield, TN.
Dorothy was a member of the Lone Oak Church of Christ and a graduate of Lowes High School. Dorothy was a homemaker, loved to cook and quilt. She also worked in the Lowes Elementary School cafeteria for over 20 year. Dorothy was the over and above University of Kentucky Wildcats fan, traveling to Rupp Arena and following the Big Blue Team in attendance at some of their NCAA appearances. Dorothy fulfilled her role as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, aunt and friend.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy (Daniel Reeves) Miller of Austin, TX, Dr. Lisa (Don) Milam of Springfield, TN and Lori (Tammy) Dupree of Austin, TX; one son, Steve Dupree of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Lockie Miller, Ginger (Jason) McBride, Brent (Rachael) Dupree and Candice (Brent) Lindsley; Brandi (Brian) Holley, Aimee (Aaron) Thorn, nine great-grandchildren, Riley Walker, Abigail Walker, Charli Hernandez, Nathan McBride, Caitlyn Banks, Hayden Banks, Zoe Lindsley, Evie Dupree and Truitt Dupree
Preceding in death were her husband, Clyde C. Dupree; parents, Ferris L. Fristoe and Amy Clark Fristoe; one sister, Jeanette Chandler; one brother, Sonny Fristoe; daughter-in-law, Kim Dupree.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Lynwood Mathis officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at a later date.
