Due to recent thefts from vehicles in the College Avenue area of Lone Oak, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office have been conducting extra patrols in the vicinity. Deputies have been attempting to deter the thefts and locate the individuals responsible. On Wednesday May 10, 2023, at approximately 1:05 AM, Paducah 911 received a call stating that an individual was trying to get into a vehicle in the 400 block of College Avenue.

Two deputies were at the location within two minutes due to the extra patrols and began searching for the suspect. During a search of the area, deputies located a male walking on Columbus Avenue. Deputies spoke with the male, who was later identified as Francisco Starks, and observed that he had a bag with him. During a search of the bag and Starks, deputies located a debit card and identification cards not belonging to Starks as well as a cocaine smoking pipe.

Deputies arrested Starks and charged him with Possession of Cocaine, Public Intoxication, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Starks, 45 years old of Paducah, KY, was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
