Wayne Willis Johnson, 66, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at his home.
Wayne was born on September 16, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edsel and Juliete Johnson. He was a very avid harness horseman who went by the nickname, “Dead Eye.”
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janet Sue Johnson; one son, Jason Edwards (Kate) of Columbus, OH; three stepsons, John Dike, Freddy Allen and Michael Norwood all of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Sheri Justice of Paducah, Kentucky; one brother, Steve Johnson of Cunningham, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Carlin Edwards; several step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Kristi Greenwood of Paducah, who was like a daughter.
He was preceded by his parents Edsel Willis Johnson and Juliet LeDuc Johnson.
