Rosie Walker, 85 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Rosie was born February 21, 1938 to the late Norman and Lona Pace. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and taking care of everyone around her. Rosie and her husband, John owned and operated the Benton Drive-In for 35 years. She was a member of Union Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived her son, Kyle Walker of Benton; daughter, Jonda Smith, husband, Russell of Benton; one brother, Grayson Pace (Ellie) of Cincinnati, OH; one sister, Ellene Scharmahorn of Benton; and two grandchildren, Staci Smith and Ethan Walker, both of Benton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Walker; three brothers, Fred Pace, Mirvan Pace and Gilman Pace; and her parents.
A funeral service for Rosie and John will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Josh Herndon and Don McBrayer officiating. Interment will follow at Edwards Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Collier Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of Baptist Health Paducah for the love and care they showed to their mother and family, as well as the support they have given over the last weeks.
