PADUCAH, Ky. (April 26, 2023)  A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans milling and paving along a section of KY 1836 in western Calloway County starting Friday, April 28, 2023.

Milling and paving along KY 1836 runs from the KY 80 intersection at mile point 3.52, extending northward to KY 464/Backusburg Road at mile point 7.37, a distance of just over 3.8 miles.

Milling is expected on Friday with paving to start on Monday, May 1.

Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.  Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and paving personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.

Murray Paving is the prime contractor on this $460,000 maintenance paving project. Weather permitting, the target completion date is May 1, 2023.
