Randall ‘Gene’ Asher, 84, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Asher was born on March 25, 1939 in Paducah to the late, Homer Hickman Asher Sr. and Gracie Frances Buckman Asher. He was of the Baptist faith, worked in maintenance for Lennox Hotels in St. Louis, Missouri and was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Gene is survived by a son, Corey Asher and his wife, Jenny of Paducah; six grandchildren, Erica Koontz (Justin), Tyson Asher, McKenna Asher, Jacob Hutson, Josh Hutson and Alysia Hutson; one great-grandson, Spencer Koontz; a sister, Branda K. Reynolds (Kenneth) of Paducah; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laduska ‘Dusty’ Rose Duff Asher; a daughter, Stacie Hutson; a granddaughter, Sydney Hutson; three sisters, Gwendolyn Faye Asher, Becky Clark and Kathy Thompson; three brothers, Edward H. Asher, H.H. Asher and Kenneth Asher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
