Injuries to a 5 year old child consistent with choking and excessive bruising about the neck led to an investigation by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office as well as DCBS (Ky Dept. of Community Based Services).
Sheriff’s detectives were made aware of this incident late Tuesday afternoon. Detectives and a DCBS worker went to a Wingo area residence to investigate. Both parents were subsequently arrested and taken to out of county jail facility. The child was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Emergency custody of the child has been granted to a relative.
Arrested: Green, Trevor age 26 of Wingo, Ky
Charges: Criminal Abuse 1st Degree of a child under the age of 12.
Arrested: Green, Shyane Nicole Merrie age 25 of Wingo, Ky.
Charges: Criminal Abuse 1st Degree of a child under the age of 12.
