Michael Clay Cox, age 70, of Benton, passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2023.
He was the retired owner and operator of Michael Cox Excavating and previous co-owner of Cox and Riley Home Builders. He attended Vanzora Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anessia; brothers, Marlon Cox of Hardin and Mark Cox (Melanie) of Benton; nieces Mindy (Derrick) Coble, Meagan (Daniel) Murphy and nephew, Clayton Flood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Anna Lou Cox and nephew, Travis Cox.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Farmer and Bro. David Hendrickson officiating. Interment will follow at Vanzora Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the funeral home.
