Martin Leon Jackson, age 92, of Kirbyton, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Martin was born on December 11, 1930 in Kirbyton to the late Jerry and Lura Martin Jackson. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martin was a member of Kirbyton Baptist Church.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Florence Jackson; one daughter, Donna Huntley (Les) of Kirbyton; two sons, Kerry Jackson (Debbie) of Kirbyton, Kent Jackson of Independence, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Vicki Jackson of Kirbyton; six grandchildren, Kyle Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Kirk Jackson, Chris Jackson, Erin Tilman, Hannah Huntley; six great-grandchildren, Adley Jackson, Ellery Jackson, Dempsey Jackson, Crosby Jackson, Jackson Tilman, Jace Tilman and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Jackson; two sisters, Ruth Miller, Rudelle Sigler; three brothers, Melvin Jackson, Morris Jackson, William Jackson and his parents.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Kirbyton Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wilson and Rev. Brandon Wilson officiating the service.
