LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
⦁ On Monday, April 10th, 2023, around 11am, Deputy Aaron O’Leary arrested Terra Proctor (34) of Smiths Grove and charged her with a Butler Circuit Court bench warrant for failure to pay court costs, fees, or fines.
⦁ On Monday, April 10th, 2023, around 12:45pm, Deputy Aaron O’Leary arrested Mary Brown (34) of Louisville and charged her with five (5) Jefferson County District Court bench warrants and one (1) Meade District Court bench warrant, all for Failure to Appear in court.
⦁ On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, around 7:55am, Sheriff Brent White was at the Lyon County Middle School when he observed a vehicle travelling the wrong way in the student drop-off-line. Sheriff White detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed multiple suspected marijuana cigarettes in the center console of the vehicle. The driver, Kanisha R. Brasher (36) of Princeton, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and given a citation to appear in court.
⦁ On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, around 10:45am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a two-vehicle minor collision on US 641 approximately 2 miles North of Eddyville. His investigation revealed a Case tractor pulling a disk, operated by Edwin T. Belt (60) of Marion was South bound when he met a 2018 Dodge van operated by Tamara Morris (62) of Kuttawa which was North bound. The implement in tow impacted the mirror of the Morris vehicle in a sideswipe fashion. No injuries were reported in the minor collision.
⦁ On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, around 8pm, Sheriff Brent White located a Hispanic male, in the city limits of Kuttawa, who was the subject of a recent trespassing complaint. Deputy David Carroll charged Osvaldo Guzman-Guttirez (27), of Kuttawa (formerly of Guatemala), with Criminal Trespassing-3rd Degree and Possession of Marijuana. He was given a citation to appear in court.
⦁ On Wednesday, April 12th, 2023, around 10pm, Deputy David Carroll conducted a traffic stop on Fairview Avenue in Eddyville. Following a roadside investigation, he arrested Buddy W. Dockery (39) of Morgantown. He was initially charged on a Butler Circuit Court warrant for Failure to Appear in court. In addition, he was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and Drug Paraphernalia-Possession.
⦁ On Thursday, April 13th, 2023, around 3pm, Deputy Lori Francis served two Russell Circuit Court bench warrants on Angela Passamore (40) of Russell Springs charging her with failure to pay court costs, fees, or fines.
⦁ On Friday, April 14th, 2023, around 8pm, Deputy David Carroll was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on US 62 East near Gill Pike Road. The investigation revealed a 2015 Subaru, operated by Elizabeth L. Roberts (45) of Eddyville was East on US 62 when she collided with a deer. There were no injuries reported in the collision.
⦁ On Monday, April 17th, 2023, around 7:50am, Deputy David Carroll conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Ford pickup truck on US 62 West. The operator was identified as Tamara A. Gipson (45). She was arrested and charged with Operating on a Suspended/Revoked Operator’s License. At the time of this arrest, Gipson had three other citations pending in Lyon County and had Failure to Appears in two cases in Union County and one in Caldwell County. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
