George William “Truett” Turner, 78, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.
He was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 3, 1944 to the late Charles Oscar “C.O.” Turner and Helen Regina Tate Williams Turner. Truett was retired from Western Baptist Hospital where he worked in the Dietary Department. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church and was a 1965 graduate of Lone Oak High School. He enjoyed watching NASCAR Races and he loved his nieces and nephews.
Truett is survived by his three brothers, Harold Turner and wife, Melissa, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, William Turner of Calvert City, Kentucky and David Turner and wife, Kathy, of Paducah, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Lynn Turner and Anna Turner; brother, Carl Turner, and his parents.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Pottsville with Rev. Bob Whitter officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
