On Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the sexual abuse of a female victim under the age of twelve.
The investigation revealed the victim had been placed in the custody of family members earlier in the year. One of the family members was identified as James Greg Stevens, 61 years old of West Paducah.
Stevens confessed that while in his care, he sexually molested the victim on multiple occasions. Stevens was taken into custody this afternoon and lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
The investigation is currently ongoing and further charges are possible.
