⦁ On Saturday, March 18th, 2023, just before noon, Deputy Danny Collings responded to I-24 near the 48-mile marker to assist a KSP Trooper. During this roadside investigation, Deputy Collings arrested Carlos A. Bean (20) of Birmingham, Alabama and charged him with Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Sunday, March 19th, 2023, around 7pm, Deputy Danny Collings arrested Steven R. Tucker (30) of McMinnvile, TN on a Letcher District Court bench warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on a traffic related case from 2017. He awaits extradition to Letcher County.
⦁ On Sunday, March 19th, 2023, around 8:30pm, Deputy Danny Collings conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck on KY 295, approximately 3 miles North of Kuttawa. MacKenzie Redd (32) of Kuttawa was the operator of the vehicle. His license was suspended for a previous DUI conviction. Deputy Collings arrested Redd and charged him with Driving on a DUI Suspended License-2nd Offense and Failure to or Improper Signal. In addition, Redd was served with a Warren District Court bench warrant for Failure to Appear regarding similar charges from 2021. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Sunday, March 26th, 2023, around 2pm, Deputy Aaron O’Leary received a theft complaint from the Benberry Hill area of Kuttawa. His investigation revealed a female Kuttawa resident reported unknown person(s) entered her home and stole multiple items of jewelry and some collectible money. ⦁ On Monday, March 27th, 2023, around 12:45pm, Deputy Aaron O’Leary responded to a 2-vehicle collision on KY 818 North near Leroy Road. His investigation revealed a 2008 Ford Escape, driven by Melissa Coburn (38) of Princeton was South on KY 818 North when she rear-ended a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Huston R. Burton (39) of Eddyville. No injuries were reported. Deputy O’Leary was assisted by the Eddyville Police Department.
⦁ On Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, around 2:15pm, Chief Deputy Sam Adams and Sheriff Brent White responded to a fugitive complaint on Chestnut Oak Road. They located Mary Quigley (42) of Kuttawa. She had been wanted for failing to appear in Marshall District Court since October of 2022 and she was wanted for Contempt of Court out of Calloway District Court since December of 2022. She was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
⦁ On Wednesday, March 29th, 2023, around 4pm, Deputy Danny Collings responded to an animal complaint on KY 810 North. His investigation revealed an animal, possibly a dog(s) had entered the property of a female victim and killed multiple expensive laying hen chickens. A witness described seeing a large white dog and a brown dog in the area. Residents are reminded it is against the law for their dogs to run at large, during night hours, while unattended.
⦁ On Thursday, March 30th, 2023, around 9:45pm, Deputy David Carroll conducted a traffic stop on US 62 West of Eddyville. He located a passenger in the vehicle, Brandy Walls (38) of Fredonia who was wanted out of Crittenden District Court for Failure to Appear for a traffic related offense. She was arrested by Deputy Carroll and charged with the warrant. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Saturday, April 1st, 2023, around 8am, Chief Deputy Sam Adams responded to a hit and run collision on KY 730 East, approximately 5 miles Southeast of Eddyville. His investigation revealed a 2015 Cadillac driven by Sally Ross (55) of Eddyville was near Coleman Bridge when an opposing white, dual wheeled truck sideswiped her vehicle. The unidentified driver of the truck stopped only long enough to curse at the other driver before leaving the scene of the collision. ⦁ On Saturday, April 1st, 2023, just before 4pm, Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies and Officers with the Eddyville Police Department responded to a disturbance complaint at Lee S. Jones Park at the high school baseball field. Lyon County EMS was also dispatched for a 14 year old male juvenile who had reportedly been struck in the mouth.
Further investigation revealed a visiting team baseball coach became upset following a call by an umpire. During his moment of frustration, he picked up a weighted bat sleeve and threw it into his team’s dugout where it struck the juvenile in the face causing injury to the student player. Following this event, a brief disturbance broke out among fans and coaches with the opposing team.
Lyon County EMS arrived and transported the juvenile to Baptist Health in Paducah for treatment of his injuries. Video evidence and witness statements were collected by law enforcement. The incident remains under investigation by Deputy Aaron O’Leary and Sheriff Brent White.
⦁ On Saturday, April 1st, 2023, just after 10pm, Deputy David Carroll made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of US 62 and US 641. During a roadside investigation he arrested James E. Millikan (47) of Marion and charged him with a Parole Violation Warrant. Millikan is accused by the KY Parole Board of Absconding Parole Supervision, Failing to Report to his Parole Officer as Directed, and Failure to Make Restitution as Directed. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
⦁ On Saturday, April 1st, 2023, around 11pm, Deputy Aaron O’Leary made a traffic stop on a 2010 Dodge Charger on US 62 West. A probable cause search of this vehicle resulted in the confiscation of marijuana. Rhannon S. Alexander (29) of Paducah was cited in Lyon District Court for Possession of Marijuana and Improper Display of Registration Plates.
⦁ On Sunday, April 2nd, 2023, at 5:42am, Sheriff Brent White responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 810 South. His investigation revealed a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Franklin Moore (47) of Kuttawa, was North bound when he collided with a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported.
