On March 28, 2023, McCracken County Animal Control and the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office began a joint investigation regarding an emaciated dog. A maintenance worker for a mobile home park on Clark’s River Road had observed a dog that was extremely emaciated. He had been notified by a concerned neighbor after the neighbor heard an animal inside a residence where no one was currently living.
A certified animal abuse investigator with the Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident in conjunction with Animal Control. The Deputy discovered that the most recent tenant of the mobile home where the dog was discovered had moved approximately three weeks prior. Upon inspecting the mobile home, the Deputy observed that there was no food inside and it appeared the dog had been searching throughout the mobile home for food.
Animal Control and the Sheriff’s Office learned that the prior tenant was Kenneth Robinson. Evidence was discovered that showed that Robinson was the owner of the dog that was located abandoned in the trailer.
On Thursday March 30, 2023, 47 year old Kenneth Robinson was located and arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant. Robinson was charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd Degree and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
