Mr. Rudy Howard “Pops” Mills, age 76, of Mayfield passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his residence.
He was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church, a retired employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Mills is survived by two sons, Ross L. (Stephanie) Mills of Mayfield, KY and Rex Daniel Mills of Pilot Oak, KY; one daughter, Rachel Mills (Justin) Emmerson of Norman, OK; one step-daughter, Jennifer Byrd of Mayfield; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony Mills, Jerry Mills and Jimmy Mills; one sister, Ann Gore; and his parents, Rex and Thelma Bray Mills.
Funeral services for Mr. Rudy Howard “Pops” Mills will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Rick Walker will officiate. Interment will follow at Wingo Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
