Cheryl Atwood, 60, of Brookport, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mrs. Atwood was a housewife and attended Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Brookport, Illinois.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jesse Newton Atwood; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Atwood of Brookport, Illinois; a son, Jesse Duane Atwood of Brookport, Illinois; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Rhonda Dye of Brookport, Illinois; two brothers, Dennis Shirley of Metropolis, Illinois and Robert ‘Bobby’ D. Shirley of Aurora, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Shirley and Scott Shirley. Her parents were Leo J. Shirley and Bernice W. Eastham Shirley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Joe Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
