Berna Dean Jones Morgan, age 89, of Wickliffe, Kentucky, formerly of Miner, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Berna was born in Sikeston, Missouri on November 13, 1933 to the late Wilburn and Irene Price Jones. She was a member of Bardwell Church of Christ. Berna worked for over 40 years as the Secretary and Bookkeeper for Waldschmidt Lumber in Wickliffe. She loved to spend her free time playing golf at Ballard County Country Club. Berna also enjoyed playing Bridge with friends, both in person and online. She was an incredible cook and took great pleasure in preparing delicious meals for friends and family.
Berna is survived by her two sons, Preston (Kathy) Morgan of Port Charlotte, Florida and Larry (Lisa) Morgan of Wickliffe; a sister, Judy (Donnie) Hall of Wickliffe; two grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Morgan of Lake Harding, Alabama and Jessica (Todd) Hogue of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Brody Morgan, Maxwell Hogue and Cruz Morgan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Ray Morgan; a sister, Deloris Beardsley and her husband, “Pap” Beardsley; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with Jay Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the service time of 12:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
