Julia Hernandez Dominguez, age 61, of Mayfield passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at her residence. She was surrounded by her husband, her son, daughter-in-law and brothers as she left this world to join her Heavenly Father.
She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista Hispana de Mayfied (First Hispanic Baptist Church of Mayfield). She wore many titles at church and she will be remembered as a woman of faith who cherished her love for her Lord and Savior. She was a giver and a strong woman who always put others before her. She always had a smile on her face and always had a positive impact on others. She was compassionate with everyone she came across with. She was a warrior for God. Always teaching the gospel to anyone she came across.
Julia was also a homemaker and former restaurant owner.
Julia has been a resident of Mayfield, KY for over 20 years and this is what she calls home.
Mrs. Hernandez Dominguez is survived by her husband, Gerardo Herrera, Sr.; her only son, Gerardo (Lorena Godinez) Herrera, Jr.; three brothers, Pedro Hernandez Dominguez, Herminio Hernandez Dominguez, Isaias Hernandez Dominguez and Amando Hernandez Dominguez; two sisters, Berta Hernandez Dominguez and Angela Hernandez Dominguez; and two grandchildren, who lovingly call her “Bela”, Camila and Xavi Herrera.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Alejandro Hernandez Dominguez; one sister, Yolanda Hernandez Dominguez; and her parents, Paulino Hernandez Herrera and Laurentina Dominguez Lira.
The Herrera Hernandez family appreciates the love and prayers from family and friends during this difficult time.
