LaVerne Coonrod Phillips, age 89, of Kevil, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bardwell.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Mounds City, Illinois to the late Charles and Evelyn Crowelll Coonrod. She was a member of Grace Valley Baptist Church. LaVerne worked as a beautician for many years and loved to dance and loved being around her family.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by one son, Chuck Hart (Cindy) of Amherst, Virginia; two daughters, Jerri Worthington (Rodney) of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Lisa Turner (Dale) of Wickliffe; nine grandchildren, Bobbie Worthington, Ethan Worthington, Kari Hart, Amanda Turner, Anna Abernathy, Avriel Turner, Joshua Jones, Jordan Jones, and Chris Rundles; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Phillips; a daughter, Leah Rundles; one sister, Anna Coonrod; three brothers, Larry Coonrod, Jimmy Coonrod and Ray Connrod; and her parents.
