On Feb 19, 2023 at approximately 8:30pm it was reported that a red Dodge Ram had collided with a tree in the 1500 blk of McElrath Road. Upon arrival deputies attempted life saving measures, however, it was determined that the driver was deceased. It appeared that the truck was traveling northbound on McElrath Rd and left the roadway on the right-side colliding with the tree.
The driver, Ricky Bunch, age 69 of Dexter, had several medical issues, but it is unknown why the accident occurred. There were no other known vehicles associated with the collision.
