Ms. Kathy Kay (Johnston) Farmer, age 69 of Waverly, KY, formerly of Benton ,KY, died on Monday, February 13, 2023, at her home. She was a retired special education teacher for Marshall County High School and was a member of Olive Baptist Church. She was also an avid gardener.
Born Thursday, August 13, 1953 in Paducah, KY, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Johnston and the late Doris Jean (Salyers) Johnston.
Surviving are sons, Jacob Johnston Farmer (Jennifer) of Clinton, KY and Levi Paul Farmer of Benton, KY, daughter, Kasey Farmer Wolfe (Wade) of Waverly, KY, sisters, Linda Rose (Ralph) of Benton, KY and Brenda Rose (Eddie) of Lewisport, KY, and grandchildren, Taylor Ramage, Hannah Wolfe, Benjamin Wolfe and Caroline Wolfe.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating.
Interment will follow in Salyers Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home.
