Christian Fellowship splits Senior Night games

Seniors Lillian Burnett and Andrew Dunning led Christian Fellowship in scoring against Hickman County. Burnett had 21 points and Dunning scored 32.

Christian Fellowship hosted Hickman County on Tuesday on a night their seven seniors were celebrated. Lady Eagles seniors are Lillian Burnett, Jayden Jackson, Renee Shields, Rhema Howard and Alyssa Warren. The two Eagles seniors are Andrew Dunning and Brady Fletcher.

The CFS girls picked up a 65-38 win and improve their record to 20-9, reaching a pre-season goal of winning 20 games and the first time to achieve that mark in program history. They hope to achieve another milestone in next week’s 4th District Tournament when they play Calloway County on Tuesday at 6:00. A win giving them another first, a chance at the district title and trip to the First Region Tournament.

Against Hickman County, the Lady Eagles built a huge 20-3 first quarter lead and led 42-13 at halftime. It was a more even second half offensively, CFS getting many of their bench players in the game, but the first half lead was too much for Hickman County to overcome.

Burnett led the CFS scorers with 21 points and nine rebounds. Jackson scored 15 points.

CFS will play their final regular season game on Thursday at home against St. Mary.
