1. On Monday, February 6th, 2023, at 2:40pm, Deputy Jason Young charged a 14-year-old female juvenile with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia Possession after school officials notified the School Resource Officer concerning a report of students vaping on a school bus and passing substances back and forth between students. The investigation led to the charges for this juvenile who was found in possession of a vape and other drug paraphernalia which tested positive for THC. The student was sent home from school and may face additional administrative action by the school district.
2. On Monday, February 6th, 2023, the following parents or guardians of students who are enrolled in the Lyon County School District were charged on criminal summons with Parent/Custodian to Send Child to School – 1st or 2nd Offense:

Kenneth L. Riley (41) of Kuttawa
3. On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, the following parents or guardians of students who are enrolled in the Lyon County School District were charged on criminal summons with Parent/Custodian to Send Child to School – 1st or 2nd Offense:
Kristy M. Cotton (45) of Kuttawa
Tina N. Alverio (45) of Eddyville
4. On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 10:15am, Sheriff Brent White arrested Angela M. Deskins (40) of Murray. Deskins was charged on a bench warrant from Graves District Court for Failure to Appear and Contempt of Court. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
5. On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 10:50am, Sheriff Brent White arrested Dana K. Traylor (55) of Kuttawa. Traylor was charged with a Lyon District Court bench warrant for Contempt of Court/Failure to Report to Jail to serve a balance of time on a 2022 case she was convicted of in Lyon County. She was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
6. On Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at 5:25pm, Sheriff Brent White was dispatched to a single vehicle collision on KY 93 South approximately 4.5 miles South of Eddyville. The investigation revealed a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica van was North on KY 93 when a deer entered the roadway causing a collision. The driver, Randell Ramey (63) of Eddyville, nor his passenger were injured in the collision.
7. On Thursday, February 9th, 2023, at 11am, Deputy Lori Francis served a Lyon Circuit Court indictment warrant on Isidro Perez (39) of Liberty. He is charged with Assault-3rd Degree (inmate assault on correctional employee) and being a Persistent Felony Offender-1st Degree. Perez is an inmate at the Kentucky State Penitentiary.
8. On Thursday, February 9th, 2023, at 11am, Deputy Lori Francis served a Lyon Circuit Court indictment warrant on Terrance Downs (30) of Louisville. He is charged with Assault-3rd Degree (inmate assault on correctional employee) and being a Persistent Felony Offender-1st Degree. Downs is an inmate at the Kentucky State Penitentiary.
9. On Friday, February 10th, 2023, at 6pm, Deputy David Carroll served Abbigayle D. Matthews (26) of Eddyville with a criminal summons charging her with Parent/Custodian to Send Child to School – 1st or 2nd Offense. She will appear in Lyon District Court on February 15th, 2023, as it pertains to this offense.
10. On Sunday, February 12th, 2023, around 3:30pm, Sheriff Brent White observed a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck being operated on KY 810 South by a person known to have a suspended operator’s license. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Gary W. Wagoner (62) of Kuttawa, was arrested and charged with Driving on a DUI Suspended License – 3rd Offense (Class D Felony), Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle. Wagoner was on probation for three previous cases from Lyon District Court at the time of this offense. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
