Mitch York, age 60, of Mayfield, KY formerly of Benton, KY passed away Friday February 3, 2023 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Mitch was a former cosmetologist and cosmetology instructor. He was a member of Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mitch was the former minister of music at New Life Baptist Church and Clarks River Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Donna York; his mother, Frances York of Benton, KY; two step-sisters, Sharon Benrock of Benton, KY and Mary Sue (Matt) O’Daniel of Benton, KY.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Daryl Wayne York; father, Jackie York; step-father, Jimmie Don Cope; and step-brother Gary Dale Cope.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12noon on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Keith Allred, Hal Mix and Philip Foley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton, KY. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12noon on Monday February 6, 2023 at the funeral home.
