Casey Lynn Lofton, age 36, of Benton, KY, passed away at 6:30 PM on Sunday January 29th, 2023.
Casey was well-loved and enjoyed sharing his humor with those around him. He loved those close to him fiercely and put the needs of others before his own. He was selfless, hardworking, funny, resilient, caring, and most importantly – unabashedly himself.
A proud and loving father, Casey was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mary Katherine Ballew, Virginia Lofton, and Betty Knees.
He is survived by his wife Marissa Lofton; sons Feenix Lofton and David Strong; daughters Jocelynn Lofton and Anna Pearson; grandparents Don and Anne Gunter; fathers Craig Lofton and Kevin Knees; mothers Rhonda Knees and Donna Lofton; sisters Laken Fletcher (Josh), Heather Knees and Danielle Quinn (Jake); brothers Nathan Lofton (Jessie) and Eric Knees; nieces Lillian Fletcher and Kerra Beth Quinn; nephews Landon Henson, Levi Henson, Davis Fletcher, and Monroe Quinn.
Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories of Casey’s life. Visitation will be held at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY on Thursday February 2nd from 4 to 7 PM and Friday February 3rd from 11 AM to 1 PM with the funeral to follow at 1 PM.
Casual attire is requested by the family, per Casey’s distaste of formal clothing. To honor Casey’s legacy and sense of humor, unconventional greetings and displays of affection are welcomed.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations to support the future of Casey’s children. The account will be managed by the children’s grandfather, Craig Lofton. At this time, donations can be addressed to Craig Lofton, P.O. Box 651, Benton, KY 42025 with a memo “for Casey’s kids.”
