Timothy T. Gandy, age 83 of Calvert City passed away January 30, 2023 at his residence.
He was born September 2, 1939 to the late Sterling and Alice Kelly Gandy.
Mr. Gandy served in the United States Navy for 25 years as Master Chief and served during the Vietnam War. He then served as an engineer in the aerospace industry working for Raytheon Technologies on their Patriot Missile Design Team and Boeing where he served on the space shuttle launch team through NASA. As a hobby he loved to build and buy classic cars.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Tina Fagan and husband, Mike of Calvert City; a son, Timothy Kevin Gandy of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Dalton Greenfield of Calvert City, Dylan Greenfield and Briana Florio of Nashville, Tennessee, Andrea Freadreacea and Brad of Louisville, Kentucky and Kylie Fagan of Paducah, Kentucky; a great-granddaughter, Emma Freadreacea.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Greer Gandy; a son, Mark Allen Gandy; two sisters, Mary Ann Knight and Daphne Thompkins; two brothers, Sterling Gandy, Jr. and Michael Gandy; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Filbeck- Cann Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Burnett officiating and burial in Calvert City Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy.
Visitation for Tim Gandy will be held at Filbeck- Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
