Two Arrested on Drug Charges During Traffic Stop

On January 29th, 2023, at approximately 03:30am, a Deputy with the
McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Wayne
Sullivan Dr. The vehicle was a 2012 Chevrolet passenger car that was
driven by 29-year-old Alyssa C. Barton of Hopkinsville, KY and
occupied by 36-year-old Timothy N. Barry of Paducah, KY.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Barton and Barry
were in possession of quantities of Crystal Methamphetamine,
Marijuana, Digital Weight Scales, and other items related to Drug
Paraphernalia.

Through further investigation at the jail, it was discovered that
Barry had concealed 8.2 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine and a small
quantity of Marijuana on his person.

Court records show that Barry has an extensive criminal history and
is currently out on Parole for prior Meth Trafficking and Burglary
charges out of Christian County, KY.

Both Barry and Barton were arrested and transported to the McCracken
County Regional Jail where they were lodged. Deputies were assisted on
scene by Officer Hendrickson and his partner K-9 Joker with the
Paducah Police Department.

* Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
* Possession of Marijuana
* Possession of Cont. Sub, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) 1st Offense

Arrested: Timothy N. Barry, 36 of Paducah, KY

Charges:

* Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
* Possession of Marijuana
* Trafficking in a Cont. Sub. 1st Degree 2nd Offense > or = 2gs
