Agriculture is one of the leading industries in west Kentucky, and Nikki Rhein, extension agent for agriculture and natural resources joined us recently on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. Rhein reminds you to get a soil test for only $7 to help you know how much and what type fertilizer to use and whether or not your soil needs lime. She says there are lots of career opportunities in agriculture and new technology in crop production is amazing. She says lots of programs are coming up soon and just call the extension office to register. There’s even a Bee Keeping group that meets once per month.
