Mr. Billy Joe Stanley, age 93, of Mayfield passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Mayfield, KY, a retired employee of GAF Corporation in Calvert City, KY and a U. S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.
Mr. Stanley is survived by two sons, David (LaDonna) Stanley of Louisville, KY and Jon (Becky) Stanley of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Alyce Stanley O’Sullivan of Jefferson, IN; one brother, James Stanley of Monroe, NC; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annetta Stokes Stanley; his second wife, Barbara Murphey Stanley; one brother, Milton Stanley; and his parents, James and Otta B. Holmes Stanley.
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Stanley will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Dr. Milton West will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will be 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
