
Five first half 3-pointers from senior Mia Teague led the Lady Marshals to a 29-8 halftime lead on Friday at Trinity (Whitesville) on their way to a 60-32 win. Teague led in scoring with 18 points, all from 3-point range, and the Lady Marshals improve to 8-7.
Laken Schroader, Georgia Hall and Chevelle Henson all finished with nine points each.
They led 18-6 at the end of the first quarter behind three of Teague’s 3-pointers and led by 21 points at halftime. Holding an 18-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, the Lady Marshals out-scored Trinity 21-11 in the final frame to earn the 28-point win.
Next on the schedule is a game at Hopkins County Central on Monday. The Lady Storm currently sit on top of the Second Region standings with a record of 10-3.
