Off to a great start after their Christmas break, Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles won all three of their games this week to improve to 11-3. They opened the new year with a 68-33 win over Fulton City on Tuesday, beat Hickman County 69-40 on Thursday and Friday topped Ballard Memorial 48-40.
Three different players led the Lady Eagles in scoring this week, starting with Gracie Howard’s 26-point night in Tuesday’s home win over Fulton City. Lillian Burnett had 16 points and 14 rebounds and Alyssa Warren scored 14. Howard was 4-of-5 at the free throw line and Jayden Jackson had six assists.
Thursday at Hickman County, Burnett led the Lady Eagles with 23 points, Howard followed with 17 and Warren had 12. Burnett’s 12 rebounds gave the senior another double double night and she was 6-of-8 at the line. Jackson finished with 10 assists.
Jackson led the Lady Eagles over Ballard Memorial on Friday with 17 points, Howard finished with 14 and Burnett 10. Howard ranks 20th in the state after 14 games with an average of 21.1 points per game. Against the Lady Bombers, the junior was 9-of-10 at the free throw line which currently ranks her 40th in the state at 75.9 percent.
Burnett had eight rebounds against Ballard Memorial and ranks 13th in the state with an average of 11.5 per game.
The Lady Eagles play their first game in the All ‘A’ Classic on Monday at home against the winner of Saturday’s Ballard Memorial and Community Christian game. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30. CFS is the #2 ranked team in the First Region All ‘A’ Classic.
