MARSHALL COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

December 30, 2022

As a result of the damage caused by frozen pipes in the sprinkler systems at 5 of our schools, we
are in the process of making the needed repairs and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the
schools. It will take some time to complete that process.

As a result, the Marshall County School District will not be able to return to in person classes
on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. There will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, January 4th for
students. All staff are expected to report for a regular work day.

We will be making a decision for the remainder of the week sometime on Tuesday, January 3rd. We
would like to thank all of those who have been working tirelessly to mitigate the damage to our
buildings and make the necessary repairs.

Dr. Steve Miracle
Superintendent, Marshall County Schools
