Shannon Root, 73 of Metropolis, Il., died Monday January 2, 2023 at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Richard of Metropolis. One daughter, Carmen (Brad) Sexton of Karnak Il. One son, Robert Root of Metropolis. One brother, Dennis (Barbie) Lewis. Four sisters, Cheryl, Susie, Shelley and Tina. Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lewis and Elinore Lewis. One son, George Allen Lewis. Four brothers; Pat, (Infant) Charles, Tykie and Timmy. One sister, (Infant) Laura.
No memorial services are planned at this time.
